To access the Phonics Advantage Reading Assessment (PARA) offline, please follow the steps below. Note that these steps must be completed while you have access to the internet.
We strongly recommend the use of a tablet (iPad or Android device) instead of a cell phone, due to the small size of phone screens which may make it difficult for the child to see the content.
While you have access to the internet:
- If the application has not already been installed by your IT service, download the Absorb Learning The application is available for free on compatible iOS and Android devices via the Play Store or App Store.
- Open the app and follow the instructions to enter the LMS URL (website). Enter academy.thelearningbar.com, and click NEXT.
- On the next screen, enter the same username and password you use to access the LMS on your laptop or desktop computer, and click LOGIN.
- Once you are logged in, you will see a screen that lists your Click on the download icon next to the description of PARA (
). The application will start to download the assessment. Wait until the arrow changes to a check mark symbol (
), indicating that the assessment has been succesfully downloaded on your device.
Important note: When the downloading process finishes, please do notlog out of your session. When you’re done, simply close the App. If you log out from the session, you will not be able to access the App offline.
You can now access PARA offline using the Absorb Learning application!
