We’re excited to share several updates to Confident Learners, with a key improvement to how students who have not yet been assessed are reflected in your data. This impacts the Quick Stats landing page, Growth Chart, and the School and Classroom tabs.

Removal of Students "Not Assessed"
With this update, students who have not yet been assessed for the current school year will no longer be reflected in Phase I, Emerging. This enhancement more accurately reflects assessment data and student growth, ensuring that data represents only assessed students and thus, provides clearer insights into classroom-wide and school-wide progress.
This update is reflected in a few areas:
Quick Stats
On the “Quick Stats” landing page, students who have not yet been assessed are only reflected in the “Unassessed Students” category. They are no longer accounted for in the “Students in Phase I” category.
Growth Chart (“Balloon Chart”)
On the “Growth Chart”, students who have not yet been assessed are reflected as a raw number in the bottom left corner, making it easier to identify that number at a quick glance. This means that the baseline and current values displayed for Phase I, Emerging represent only students who, according to their assessment results, are classified in this level.
“Number of Students by Current Challenge” Chart
Students who have not yet been assessed are reflected as a separate component beside these bar chart. These charts appear in both the “School” and “Classroom” tabs on Progress Monitor.
Growth Chart Improvements
Toggle Feature
There is now the option to alternate your view of student data on the Growth Chart: raw numbers or percentages, depending on your preference. This feature is accessible in the bottom right corner of the Growth Chart.
“Generated on” Timestamp
Growth Charts now include a “Generated on” timestamp in the top left corner, reflecting when the data snapshot was captured. Clicking on the blue wheel will refresh the data and update the timestamp accordingly.
Students by Current Challenge: Full Student List and Export
You can now view and export a full list of students using the Number of Students by Current Challenge chart (available in both the “School” and “Classroom” tabs on Progress Monitor.) Clicking the List Students button, or on any bar within the chart reveals a detailed, sortable student list with a new option to export it for planning and tracking.
