We are thrilled to announce a number of updates to enhance your experience with Confident Learners! Here's a brief overview of what's new:
Becoming a Reader (Lesson Content)
High-frequency Words (Phase 1): Explore a new module dedicated to High-frequency Words (HFW) with an overview and a comprehensive list. Engage your students with new, adaptable HFW activities.
Phoneme Pronunciation Clips (Phase 1): Now included in each module of Phase 1, these audio clips provide an invaluable resource to hear exactly how each phoneme is pronounced.
Combined PDFs (All Phases): We've merged the lesson documents with their materials to simplify accessing and printing. Materials are still available separately for quick reference.
Ten Effective Evidence-Based Strategies for Teaching Reading Comprehension: This key Phase 3 document has been updated to include visualization as one of the strategies. This replaces graphic organizers, which are still used extensively in Phase 3.

Vertical Dividers: Colored vertical lines now divide the benchmarks in the classroom chart for easier interpretation.
Count of Students: Find a count of students at the bottom of your class list to aid in interpreting the Total Students Mastered counts to the right.
Notes Export: Export entered notes for quick reference. Below the classroom chart, download notes for the schools and classrooms you have access to in Progress Monitor.
Balloon Chart Print Adjustments: We've enhanced the layout of the printed version of the Growth Chart (Balloon Chart). To save a copy of your school’s chart, use the Print button and select ‘Save as PDF’.
Child Report: Following recent Balloon Chart updates, the child report page has been simplified to remove background colors. Stay tuned for future enhancements to child-level reporting!
We hope these updates enhance your teaching experience and support your efforts in the classroom.
