The Educator Notes in the Progress Monitor can be used to house information on each student, including notes on attendance, observations on learning, individualized educational plans, or any other relevant information. It allows for more visibility into students’ progress. Notes will support conversations about student learning with colleagues, school support staff, administrators, and The Learning Bar staff.
Here are a few things to know about this new feature:
This notes feature is available to all the users at the division, school and class level.
Notes will be tagged with the submitter’s name as well as a date and time stamp to provide further context.
A note associated with a student will remain attached to this student, even if they move to another class or school.
You will find the notes field on the individual child page. Simply click on a child’s name in the classroom list to access this view.
Entering a note
Select Click Here to enter your notes and hit Save Note to save the information.
To add an additional notes, select “Add Note ” found on the upper right corner of the Notes section. Click Save Note to save all the information you have entered.
Edit Notes
You can always go back to your notes and edit them. To do so, select the pencil icon and the Update Note field will appear. Make the desired changes, then click Save Note to update the changes.
Remove Notes
To remove a note, select the trashcan icon and a confirmation message will be displayed on the upper right-hand corner confirming that the note has been deleted.
The notes you have entered will be included in print-outs of a child report.
